About the role#
Smg Industries Ltd is hiring a Content Creation Intern to support our marketing efforts. This is a paid, part-time position based in North East, Pennsylvania. We offer a rolling term for students looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Capture high-quality photos and videos of employees, trucks, trailers, facilities, and projects using DSLR, mirrorless, GoPro, and smartphone equipment.
- Operate drones for aerial content while following safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and coordinate on-site shoots and find opportunities for behind-the-scenes storytelling.
- Edit photos and videos for digital and social media use.
- Design graphics, digital advertisements, and presentations using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Maintain our library of digital assets and ensure all work aligns with brand standards.
- Manage our social media presence by developing content calendars, writing captions, and scheduling posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Track social media engagement and research current trends to suggest new content ideas.
What you'll need#
- You are a current third- or fourth-year student in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Comfort working with cameras and video equipment.
- Strong writing skills for social media copy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
- Video editing and drone operation experience are preferred.
- Familiarity with business-focused social media management.
