About the role#
The Brand Marketing and Events team manages the SMBC brand strategy and messaging. As an intern, you will work with this team to gain experience in brand management and event planning. You will support the team in promoting the bank, amplifying our brand, and maintaining our reputation. This is a 10-week summer program designed to provide real-world experience through collaboration with business stakeholders and industry professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support the creation and implementation of brand market strategies and messaging.
- Plan and execute client events and manage hospitality.
- Strengthen your knowledge of how to build and maintain a professional brand presence.
- Use communication channels to promote company capabilities, expertise, and culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.
- An expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in New York, New York.
- The program runs for 10 weeks starting in June 2027.
- This role operates under a hybrid work model. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.
