About the role#
Smartly is hiring a Creative Operations Knowledge Migration Intern to assist our team during a product and workflow migration. You will help ensure that operational documentation, knowledge resources, and training materials are accurate and ready for use. This role involves working with Product, Process, Training, and Workflow Owners to translate operational changes into clear, practical resources.
What you'll do#
- Develop and organize operational documentation and knowledge resources.
- Translate operational changes into knowledge articles, process guides, FAQs, and job aids.
- Partner with internal owners to gather and validate information.
- Review and audit existing documentation for accuracy and accessibility.
- Identify content gaps and ensure materials are ready for migration milestones.
- Support content governance and maintain consistency across resources.
- Track documentation, communication, and training dependencies.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions across teams.
- Support migration-readiness tracking and provide progress updates.
- Assist with communications and operational-readiness initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Interest in or experience with instructional design, communications, technical writing, training, or knowledge management.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with a focus on detail.
- Ability to simplify complex information.
- Comfort coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Initiative to follow through on tasks.
- Eagerness to learn about creative operations, product migrations, and change management.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship based in Chicago, Illinois.
- The term runs from October 6, 2026, through December 17, 2026.
- This is a paid, part-time position at approximately 30 hours per week.
