    About the role#

    The Front End Developer Intern provides hands-on development support to the front end and UX engineering team. You will work on tasks from the active backlog and help the team reach WCAG compliance by addressing findings from recent accessibility audits.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete front end development tasks from the team backlog.
    • Remediate accessibility audit findings, such as semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, keyboard navigation, color contrast, and focus management.
    • Build and update responsive UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Test work across different browsers, devices, and assistive technology.
    • Collaborate with the UX Design Intern to translate mockups into working interfaces.
    • Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and QA validation cycles.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with version control using Git and general development workflows.
    • Comfort using browser developer tools and debugging code.
    • Coursework, personal projects, or a portfolio that shows your skills.
    • An interest in web accessibility and WCAG standards.
    • Ability to take direction, ask questions, and work in an agile team environment.
