About the role#
As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer intern, you will join a small pod to embed directly with our business teams. You will work alongside asset managers, operators, and customer-facing colleagues to identify opportunities, design solutions, and deliver value. This is a hands-on role for engineers who enjoy working close to users and want to see their work make a tangible difference.
What you'll do#
- Prototype, test, launch, and scale new ideas, often moving from concept to production in weeks.
- Create experiences for our tenants and partners by minimizing friction.
- Collaborate with business teams to identify and solve operational problems.
What you'll need#
- Proven programming expertise in Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience developing alongside AI agents like Claude Code.
- Practical experience with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A self-directed and adaptable approach to learning.
- A background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Data Science.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in New York City, New York.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid position at $25 per hour.
- The role requires 40 hours per week over 12 weeks.
