About the role#
Simmons Foods offers a summer internship for students interested in internal communications. You will work on real projects that address current business challenges while building relationships across different departments. This role balances specific project work with daily tasks to provide a practical learning experience.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development, communication, and implementation of team programs and policies.
- Focus on continuous improvement to refine processes and reduce waste.
- Present your project findings to your team and senior leadership at the end of the summer.
- Collaborate with other departments to build cross-functional relationships.
- Support business objectives by participating in team meetings and maintaining familiarity with company operating systems.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Journalism, or Marketing.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to use computers and standard software programs.
- Willingness to offer direction and take charge of assigned tasks.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours, work in various temperatures, and lift at least 10 pounds.
