About the role#
This internship offers the chance to work on projects that contribute to the organization. You will build cross-functional relationships and focus on personal growth while gaining experience in the food and beverage industry.
What you'll do#
- Complete a solution seeking project and present your findings to the team and senior leadership.
- Perform day-to-day tasks to gain a practical understanding of process fundamentals.
- Develop a continuous improvement culture to help drive out waste.
- Meet or exceed USDA and FDA quality performance guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and support departmental programs and policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours and lift at least 10 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various temperatures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Experience in manufacturing or poultry is preferred.
