About the role#
Ingredion is seeking a Marketing Communications Intern for the summer of 2027. Based in Westchester, Illinois, this full-time, hybrid role supports integrated marketing communications across the U.S. and Canada. You will report to the Marketing Communications Manager and assist in managing the planning process, timelines, and deliverables alongside internal teams and agency partners.
At the end of the internship, you will develop and present a mini-marketing communications campaign for a global initiative, applying the skills gained throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Manage and drive project deliverables with internal teams and agency partners.
- Aid in developing statements of work, creative briefs, and project timelines.
- Collaborate on communications strategy for category and specialties business segments.
- Participate in the strategic and creative design of marketing activities, including advertising, events, and client presentations.
- Brainstorm tactics, define positioning, and create content for key audiences.
- Support the execution of marketing activities for U.S. tradeshows.
- Write and edit copy for various materials and channels.
- Use Adobe Express to create supporting marketing materials for social media and digital campaigns.
- Measure and report results to identify opportunities for improvement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work safely in an office environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Please note that Ingredion does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
