About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to real projects at Simmons Foods. You will gain experience through a combination of a primary project and daily operational tasks. The program focuses on cross-functional collaboration and professional development within the food and beverage industry.
What you'll do#
- Complete a solution-seeking project that aligns with your field of study.
- Present your project findings to the team and senior leadership at the end of the summer.
- Participate in daily work to learn the fundamentals of our processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to identify and reduce waste.
- Ensure all work meets quality performance standards and company guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Biology, Chemistry, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours and lift at least 10 pounds.
- Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
