About the role#
Simmons Foods offers a summer internship for students pursuing a career in Human Resources. You will work on real-world projects that align with your field of study while gaining a practical understanding of our operational processes. This role is based at our poultry plant in Van Buren, Arkansas.
What you'll do#
- Manage a project that addresses a specific challenge within your assigned department.
- Present your findings and project results to the team and senior leadership at the end of the summer.
- Perform day-to-day tasks to learn the fundamentals of our business processes.
- Participate in the development, communication, and implementation of team programs and policies.
- Identify areas that lack cohesiveness and work with your team to resolve issues.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by finding ways to increase efficiency and maintain quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
