About the role#
This internship offers the chance to work on projects that address real daily problems within our facilities. You will gain a clear understanding of our process fundamentals by balancing project work with day-to-day operations. At the end of the summer, you will present your findings to our team and senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Solve a specific problem related to department needs using skills from your major.
- Perform daily tasks to learn the fundamentals of our processes.
- Identify ways to improve processes and drive out waste.
- Ensure performance meets all USDA and FDA guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and support team goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Agriculture.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours.
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
