    About the role#

    This internship offers a chance to work on projects that impact our facility operations. You will balance a primary, solution-based project with daily tasks to learn our core processes. At the end of the summer, you will present your findings to our team and senior leadership.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete a challenging project related to your field of study.
    • Perform daily work to understand process fundamentals.
    • Build a culture of continuous improvement by finding ways to reduce waste.
    • Ensure all work meets facility, company, and USDA/FDA quality guidelines.
    • Coordinate with team members to share best practices and attend meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate program in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
    • Knowledge of business and management principles.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
    • Experience in manufacturing or poultry is preferred.
    • Ability to work on your feet for several hours, work in various temperatures, and lift at least 10 pounds.
