About the role#
The Systems Engineer Intern position is part of the 12-week Summer Intern Academy, running from May 24, 2027, to August 13, 2027. This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of aerospace systems, from initial concept through final integration. You will work alongside industry experts to gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate complex spacecraft technologies across subsystems.
- Collaborate across disciplines including power, communications, and avionics.
- Help document requirements, track system performance, and support verification testing.
- Master essential business processes and procedures.
- Strengthen technical skills through hands-on application and expert guidance.
- Participate in the Intern Academy, including cross-functional workshops and leadership sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A passion for solving problems using data and technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and self-initiative.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
