About the role#
This internship program provides hands-on experience within the aerospace and defense industry. You will work on long-term technical projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and develop your skills through practical assignments. This role is intended for individuals who have been a Sierra Nevada Corporation Summer 2026 intern.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to team goals by completing assigned technical tasks.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support engineering decisions.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and prepare project reports.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to support implementation.
- Participate in planning meetings to align with project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or technical school pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Status as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with at least 6 months remaining until graduation after the internship ends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- U.S. citizenship or status as a lawful permanent resident or protected individual.

- This is a full-time, paid, remote position for the Summer 2026 term.
