About the role#
The Accounting Intern supports the finance team by processing accounts payable transactions, handling vendor inquiries, and assisting with billing and invoicing. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Aurora, Illinois. The role involves a rolling term and does not offer sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Process inventory, expense, and freight invoices using Softco.
- Review vendor statements to ensure accuracy.
- Request necessary invoices or credits.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and organizing financial documents.
- Help with month end close tasks.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all financial information.
- Complete other finance-related projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles, with a preference for GAAP knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
