About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage privacy requirements, including patient confidentiality and consent.
- Maintain clear visibility to the public while on duty.
- Learn about the expanding responsibilities of community pharmacists.
- Improve communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Develop knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Gain experience in managing a retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently enrolled as a student in a pharmacy program.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Grand Falls, New Brunswick.
- The position is part-time and on-site.
- Pay ranges from $20.60 to $27.00 per hour, based on experience and location.
