About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship for future pharmacists at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Oakville. You will work in a community pharmacy environment to gain practical experience and prepare for your future career. This role is on-site and follows a rolling schedule.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Build communication skills by interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and other health care workers.
- Learn about drug therapy, disease state management, and patient counseling.
- Gain experience with over-the-counter products and retail pharmacy management.
