About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Burlington. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, working under an Associate-Owner to support patient care and store operations.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Protect customer privacy by managing confidentiality and consent.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Learn about the expanding role of the community pharmacist.
- Build knowledge of over-the-counter products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Develop patient counseling skills.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
