About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program. It provides hands-on experience in retail stores, offering insight into management, sales, and store operations. You will work with a management team and travel with a Sales Representative to gain a broader perspective on the business. The program includes a team-based project that addresses real business issues.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and assist customers with recommendations.
- Contribute to sales goals and develop a strong understanding of store merchandise.
- Restock shelves, support inventory management, and help with visual merchandising.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product mixing, and general store maintenance.
- Unload deliveries, organize stockrooms, and ensure efficient inventory flow.
- Participate in required training sessions and follow store policies.
- Support team members in resolving customer concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a project that addresses a business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university as a Junior or Senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Availability to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- If currently employed by Sherwin-Williams, a meets expectations rating on your most recent performance appraisal and completion of all HR Cloud eLearning courses.
