About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction operations and field operations. You will work closely with established project teams in Providence. This program offers advance consideration for the Shawmut Construction Management Skills Training program after graduation.
What you'll do#
Depending on business needs, you will support project management, estimating, or field work.
- Assist in day-to-day project management tasks, including managing submittals and RFIs.
- Track procurement and change order documentation while assisting in project close out.
- Develop estimates and budgets for clients by working with subcontractors to ensure pricing and coverage.
- Assist in scope writing across various trades and attend bid reviews.
- Manage daily reports and coordinate punch list activities on local job sites.
- Monitor and enforce site safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior in college.
- You are working toward a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available.

- Pay: $22-25 per hour, based on experience and internal equity.
