About the role#
This is a 12 to 16 month internship with the Signal Integrity Products Group at the Burlington Design Centre. You will join the Digital Design team to work on advanced digital subsystems for mixed-signal integrated circuits. This role covers the full digital silicon development cycle, from initial concept to final implementation, verification, and product validation.
What you'll do#
- Design RTL blocks for digital subsystems.
- Write RTL or verification code based on architecture and design specifications.
- Perform functional verification of designs using constrained random methodologies.
- Use CAD tools for synthesis, DFT insertion, and timing closure.
- Create scripts and methodologies to automate design processes.
- Assist with lab debug, product bring-up, and validation.
- Collaborate with analog, digital, and systems engineers, along with marketing, to meet customer requirements.
- Prepare technical, process, and product documentation.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 3 years of a bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A basic understanding of digital design or microelectronics.
- Familiarity with SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as C, C++, Perl, Python, or VisualBasic.
- Working knowledge of PC and Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
- The role is full-time and paid, with a compensation range of $26 - $28.50 CAD per hour.
- This is a rolling internship.
