About the role#
We are looking for an Accounting & Finance Intern to join our team in Wallkill. This role offers hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment. You will work approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Support accounts payable by reviewing invoices, matching them to purchase orders, and preparing items for payment.
- Manage accounts receivable tasks, such as applying customer payments, reviewing aging reports, and researching discrepancies.
- Perform account reconciliations for general ledger, bank, and credit card accounts.
- Help with month-end closing by preparing schedules and gathering documentation for journal entries.
- Review and organize financial records to ensure they are complete.
- Assist with inventory accounting, including reviewing transactions, adjustments, and cycle-count results.
- Learn about manufacturing cost accounting, including labor, material costs, overhead, and product costing.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and management schedules.
- Use Excel to perform data analysis, trend identification, and variance checks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Accounting or Finance, or recent graduation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- A willingness to learn and contribute to a team.
