About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside engineers and construction professionals. You will contribute to real municipal roadway and utility projects through both office-based design work and field-based observation. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle and allows you to build practical skills in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Support field staff with on-site construction observation, surveying, and staking.
- Assist project managers with project development and design tasks.
- Draft project information using AutoCAD.
- Maintain communication with staff, contractors, and clients.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Availability to work from the office during the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Completed or current enrollment in engineering-related coursework.
- Interest in municipal engineering or land development projects.
