About the role#
The EDCE Administrative Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Education and Community Engagement department at the Seattle Symphony. This position assists with youth programs, community concerts, and data collection. You will report to the Senior Director of Education and Community Engagement.
What you'll do#
- Manage reservations and registrations, including scheduling and processing payments.
- Monitor office inventory and order necessary supplies.
- Coordinate with facilities staff for maintenance requests.
- Keep program calendars and supporting materials current.
- Handle incoming phone and email inquiries.
- Assist with departmental data collection efforts.
- Support day-of logistics for events, including some weekend work.
- Coordinate partner visits for Seattle Symphony musicians.
- Prepare materials for meetings and programs, including room setup, hospitality, and technical equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college.
- Established Work Study status via FAFSA in the state of Washington.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work as part of a team and think creatively.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform tasks like sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Seattle, Washington.
- The role is part-time and paid at $22.50 per hour.
