About the role#
The Seattle Mariners are hiring interns to support Minor League Development across various affiliate locations. This role involves managing daily video and technology operations for an assigned team. You will travel with the club for both home and road games throughout the 2027 season. The position starts March 1, 2027, and continues through the end of the Minor League season.
What you'll do#
- Capture, tag, and upload video using BATS and related software for all games.
- Collect video and data during bullpens, batting practice, and defensive drills.
- Manage performance science equipment such as Trackman, Hawk-Eye, and Edgertronic cameras.
- Provide results from technology equipment to coaches and staff.
- Prepare and distribute advance scouting reports before each series.
- Support the affiliate Trackman intern with data collection and quality control.
- Troubleshoot technical issues for the team.
- Assist the coaching staff with various video and data projects.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma is required, and college coursework is preferred.
- Ability to correctly identify pitch types.
- Willingness to relocate to your assigned affiliate location for the duration of the season.
- Prior experience with BATS, TruMedia, PitchBase, or similar baseball technologies is strongly preferred.
- Experience with video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Movavi is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working with an MLB or NCAA baseball organization is strongly preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time, on-site role.
- Positions are based at various affiliate locations, including Peoria, Arizona.
- The pay rate is $11 to $20.77 per hour, depending on the state minimum wage of the affiliate location.
