DoD SkillBridge Intern – (Scheduler / Risk Manager) (Active Duty Service Members)

About the role#

This DoD SkillBridge internship is designed for active duty service members to support United States Space Command requirements at Redstone Arsenal. The role focuses on project scheduling and risk management, serving as a primary data anchor for local operations and coordinating with the program management office.

What you'll do#

• Manage and baseline project execution schedules for multiple efforts using MS Project.
• Update the project risk register, including impact scores and mitigation or contingency strategies.
• Lead recurring virtual synchronization meetings via MS Teams.
• Standardize and distribute weekly Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and risk data to leadership and the program management office.
• Maintain master project schedules independently without direct daily supervision.
• Coordinate updates and relay information between local teams and external stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Minimum of four years of experience in military operations, logistics, or command-and-control planning.
• Proven ability to manage independent tasks with minimal direct oversight.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically MS Project, Teams, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for virtual collaboration.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
