About the role#
Schonfeld is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Associate or Intern to support quantitative investment activities in Fort Lauderdale. This position focuses on hedge fund and trading operations, offering training for the right candidate. You will work alongside portfolio managers, traders, and technology teams to ensure accurate trade processing and smooth daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and manage daily operational workflows for U.S. and early APAC trading activities.
- Coordinate with prime brokers and counterparties to resolve missing trade files, trade rejects, and order mismatches.
- Perform OMS and position reconciliations and tie-outs.
- Investigate and resolve operational breaks and discrepancies.
- Assist with operational process improvements and ad hoc projects.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus.
- Ability to support early APAC operational coverage when needed.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
