About the role#
Space TAs help maintain and manage lab spaces for students in project-based courses. You will assist IT and Lab Management staff with daily operations, support students in ITP and PRJ classes, and act as a point of contact for various campus departments. This is a paid, part-time position for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Assist IT and Lab Management staff with minor technical issues.
- Provide installation services for students in ITP and PRJ classes.
- Monitor ticketing systems to track and resolve student requests.
- Help support events held in campus labs like Edison, Tesla, and The Wing.
- Resolve minor interpersonal conflicts between student teams.
- Ensure students have a functional and effective work environment.
- Communicate student needs to Facilities, Student Affairs, and IT departments.
- Escalate safety or equipment concerns to Lab Management staff.
- Track and report your hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current matriculated student status at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Rising Sophomore status or above.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Completion of GAM-250 or equivalent coursework.
- Basic understanding of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.
- Ability to work on campus for 4 hours per week.
- Experience in a leadership role, such as a GAM team Producer, Creative Director, Technical Director, or previous TA/Tutor position is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 14 through December 11).
- Hours: 4 hours per week, scheduled on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- Pay: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Work Modality: On-site only. You must reside within the state of Washington.
- Physical requirements: Ability to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
