Pharmacy Intern, Managed Care

About the role#

Save-On-Foods is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the Managed Care division in the Greater Vancouver region. This role involves working closely with the Manager of Managed Care to develop, coordinate, and execute pharmacy programs. Interns will gain practical experience in marketing, pharmacy operations, and clinical practice while contributing to patient-centered care initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Assist in developing communication materials and promotional tools for health and wellness programs.
• Work directly with the public in selected clinical programs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Support the implementation of care plans, vaccination services, and chronic disease management, including medication management services.
• Support day-to-day pharmacy retail operations and clinical stores within the region.
• Coordinate and participate in community and in-store health promotional events.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Faculty of Pharmacy at an accredited university, having completed the 2nd or 3rd year of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications.
• Experience with the Kroll computer system.
• A solid knowledge base of pharmaceutical topics, including chronic diseases and vaccinations.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.

• Location: Vancouver, British Columbia.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: 16-20 hours per week.
• Compensation: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour.
