About the role#
Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to support our Managed Care division in Saskatoon. This role offers experience in pharmacy operations, marketing, and clinical practice. You will report to the Manager of Managed Care and work 16-20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Develop communication materials and promotional tools for health and wellness programs.
- Work directly with the public in clinical programs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Support the implementation of care plans, vaccination services, and chronic disease management programs.
- Assist with day-to-day retail pharmacy operations and clinical stores at selected locations.
- Coordinate and participate in community and in-store health promotional events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Faculty of Pharmacy at an accredited university, having completed your 2nd or 3rd year of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications and experience with the Kroll computer system.
- A solid knowledge base regarding vaccinations and chronic diseases.
- The ability to travel frequently throughout your assigned region.
