Pharmacy Intern, Managed Care

About the role#

Save-On-Foods is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the Managed Care division in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Manager of Managed Care, you will gain experience in marketing, pharmacy operations, and clinical practice. This position requires 16 to 20 hours of work per week and involves frequent travel throughout the assigned region.

What you'll do#

• Develop communication materials and promotional tools to support health and wellness programs.
• Work directly with the public in clinical programs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans, vaccination services, and chronic disease management programs, including medication management.
• Support day-to-day pharmacy retail operations and clinical stores at select locations.
• Coordinate and participate in community and in-store health promotional events.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Faculty of Pharmacy at an accredited University, having completed the 2nd or 3rd year of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications and experience with the Kroll computer system.
• A solid knowledge base of pharmaceutical topics, specifically regarding chronic diseases and vaccinations.
