About the role#
Save-On-Foods is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to support the Managed Care division in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position offers experience in clinical practice, pharmacy operations, and marketing. You will report to the Manager of Managed Care and work 16 to 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing communication materials and promotional tools for health and wellness programs.
- Work directly with the public in clinical programs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Support the implementation of care plans, vaccination services, and chronic disease management programs.
- Coordinate and participate in community and in-store health promotional events.
- Support day-to-day pharmacy retail operations at select locations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Faculty of Pharmacy at an accredited university.
- Completion of the 2nd or 3rd year of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications.
- Experience with the Kroll computer system.
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical topics including vaccinations and chronic diseases.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
