Pharmacy Intern, Managed Care

About the role#

Save-On-Foods is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the Managed Care division in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position provides exposure to pharmacy operations, clinical practice, and marketing. You will report to the Manager of Managed Care and work 16-20 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Develop communication materials and promotional tools for health and wellness initiatives.
• Work directly with the public in selected clinical programs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Support the implementation of care plans, vaccination services, and chronic disease management programs, including medication management.
• Coordinate and participate in community and in-store health promotional events.
• Assist with day-to-day pharmacy retail operations and clinical store tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Faculty of Pharmacy at an accredited university, having completed your 2nd or 3rd year of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications.
• Experience with the Kroll computer system.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical topics, including chronic diseases and vaccinations.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
