About the role#
As a Student or Casual Clerk I in the Bake-Off/Deli department, you will assist with the production of in-store bakery and deli items. You will work at the Assiniboia Food Store, reporting to the Bake-Off/Deli Manager. This is a part-time role that involves a variety of shifts.
What you'll do#
- Bake, decorate, package, and label bakery and deli products.
- Operate equipment including the bread slicer, deli slicer, scale/printer, chicken BBQ, gas oven, proofer, and donut robot.
- Provide customer service and take phone orders accurately.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, display units, and prep areas.
- Assist with daily housekeeping, inventory counts, and unloading freight.
- Monitor for unauthorized removal of merchandise and report any issues to your supervisor.
- Complete all required food safety training and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- A pleasant and outgoing personality with a desire to work with the public.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting.
- Successful completion of pre-employment testing as per the Southland Alcohol and Substance Policy.
Location & details#
- Location: Assiniboia, Saskatchewan.
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- The wage scale is $15.35 to $21.09 per hour as per the union contract.
