About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned store while gaining exposure to the professional responsibilities of a pharmacist. The role focuses on providing real-world training to complement your academic studies and preparing you for a career in community pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Learn about the expanding roles of the community pharmacist, including disease state management and drug therapy.
- Develop skills in patient counseling, OTC product knowledge, and retail pharmacy management.
