About the role#
This is a part-time, on-site role for a college student at our Plymouth, Wisconsin facility. You will work 16 to 24 hours per week, primarily on the 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 10:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, with additional work on alternating Saturdays as needed. This position requires previous production experience at Sargento.
What you'll do#
- Work safely with your team to produce quality products.
- Read and verify production orders to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the setup and placement of production equipment.
- Use cleaning chemicals to sanitize equipment and work areas.
- Perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Maintain food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Currently enrolled in a college, university, or technical college.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Willingness to complete fork lift certification upon hire.
- Ability to learn and follow lock out tag out procedures.
- Preferred majors include Agriculture, Business Administration, Biology, Nursing, or Chemistry.
Location & details#
This role is located in a refrigerated food production facility. You will work in a cold environment with loud machinery and moving parts. During sanitation tasks, you may be exposed to wet, humid, or damp conditions.
