About the role#
Sargento is hiring a Production Sanitation Utility student for our Hilbert facility. This is a part-time, on-site position for students currently enrolled in college or technical programs. You will work 16 to 24 hours per week, typically during 2nd shift hours between 2pm and 10pm. The schedule requires availability on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, with occasional Saturday work as needed.
What you'll do#
- Work safely within a team to produce Sargento products.
- Read and verify production orders for accuracy.
- Assist with the setup and placement of production equipment.
- Sanitize and clean equipment and production areas using chemicals.
- Enter data into inventory systems and labeling software.
- Maintain food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Communicate effectively with your team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college, university, or technical college.
- Previous Sargento production experience.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Willingness to complete fork lift certification upon hire.
- Ability to learn and follow lock out tag out procedures.
- Comfort working in a refrigerated environment with loud machinery and moving parts.
- Ability to work in wet, humid, or damp conditions during sanitation tasks.
