About the role#
As a Process Engineer Intern, you will join a project team within the Energy & Industrial Group. You will work alongside the Oil & Gas engineering team to support projects involving upstream production, gas transmission, renewable energy, and carbon-capture initiatives. This role involves working under the direction of senior engineers to apply your academic background to real-world engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and data to support project reporting.
- Participate in system designs and prepare specifications for the procurement of major industrial energy equipment.
- Solve engineering problems by using data and modern tools, including automation and AI, to improve workflows and reduce rework.
- Build or use automation to create calculations, summarize technical documents, or draft design documentation.
- Apply engineering judgment to verify results when using agentic AI tools.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction as a proactive self-starter.
- Capability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in campus or community settings.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is valued.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in Englewood, Colorado.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
