    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will join a project team within our Nuclear Power Group to assist senior engineers with the design of new systems or upgrades to existing power plant and industrial facility components.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the execution of project work.
    • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
    • Track and evaluate project progress, activities, and data.
    • Apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, General, or Systems Engineering.
    • Enrollment in an ABET-accredited program.
    • Strong academic background in mechanical systems analysis, specifically thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or heat transfer.
    • Proficiency with MS Office software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Prior internship or co-op experience is a plus.
    • A practical understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
