About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Data Steward department. You will learn how our organization operates while assisting with data governance and supporting our Data Owner teams. This is a full-time, paid position based in Miami.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation and coordination of monthly Data Owner materials and meetings for domains including Risk, Finance, Operations, Commercial, Products, and Premier Banking.
- Gather and validate information from stakeholders, document key decisions and action items, and track outstanding deliverables.
- Support periodic attestation activities by coordinating reviews, preparing inventories, and collecting stakeholder feedback.
- Identify items that require modification or retirement and track the resulting actions.
- Contribute to ITWG reporting, project and rule attestations, BAU data quality rule management, and remediation tracking.
- Complete at least one process-improvement initiative, such as creating an enhanced tracker, dashboard, or streamlined governance workflow.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a similar discipline.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- An interest in data management, data governance, banking, risk management, or data analytics.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow up on outstanding deliverables.
- Experience with data visualization or analytical tools is helpful but not required.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
