About the role#
Sanofi is seeking a student for a 6-month laboratory-based co-op position within the Neuroprotection and Resilience Cluster. This role focuses on discovering neuroinflammatory pathway biology related to neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. You will work alongside our team to explore novel biology and signaling pathways while developing your research skills.
What you'll do#
- Establish primary, immortalized, or iPSC-based cell cultures to model neuroinflammatory mechanisms and test compounds.
- Measure changes in neuroinflammatory pathways using ELISA or similar methods.
- Assess protein expression and post-translational modifications through Western blot and qRT-PCR.
- Help design and execute experiments, analyze data, and present your findings at internal meetings.
- Work in a cross-functional environment across the Neurology Therapeutic Area and various research platforms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in neuroscience, neurodegeneration, neuroimmunology, or a related field.
- Graduation date no later than Spring 2028.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the full duration of the co-op.
- Experience with in vitro tools and cell-based disease models.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to discuss experimental goals and progress with scientists from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with in vivo disease models is a plus.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
