About the role#
Sandstone Care is seeking a Clinical Intern to join our outpatient treatment center for teens and young adults in Richmond. This role offers hands-on experience in a behavioral health setting, focusing on substance use, mental health, and mood disorders. You will work directly with clients and their families to support their recovery.
What you'll do#
- Support clients through their recovery journey and contribute to their treatment goals.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions under supervision.
- Coordinate care between clients, families, and other providers.
- Complete clinical documentation, paperwork, and billing tasks.
- Participate in weekly Clinical Team Meetings and individual supervision sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a master’s program for counseling or social work.
- Ability to commit 15-20 hours per week, including at least one evening shift.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating care with various parties.
- An organized approach to documentation and attention to detail.
- A professional attitude and dedication to ethical practice.
