About the role#
As a Clinical Intern at Sandstone Care, you will work within our outpatient treatment center for teens and young adults. You will assist clients as they work through substance use, mental health, and mood disorders. This role provides hands-on experience in a clinical setting, including one hour of individual supervision each week.
What you'll do#
- Support clients through their recovery journey and contribute to their treatment goals.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Manage clinical documentation, paperwork, and billing responsibilities.
- Coordinate care between clients, their families, and other providers.
- Participate in weekly Clinical Team Meetings to collaborate with staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master’s program for counseling or social work.
- Ability to commit 15 to 20 hours per week, including at least one evening.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail regarding documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating care.
- A commitment to ethical practice and working under supervision.
