About the role#
Sandstone Care is seeking a Clinical Intern to join our outpatient treatment center for adolescents and young adults. This role provides hands-on experience in a behavioral health setting. You will work under the direct supervision of experienced clinicians to support clients managing substance use, mental health, and mood disorders.
What you'll do#
- Support clients through their recovery journey and contribute to their treatment goals.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Manage clinical documentation, paperwork, and billing tasks.
- Coordinate care between clients, their families, and other providers.
- Participate in weekly Clinical Team Meetings and receive one hour of individual supervision per week.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master’s program for counseling or social work.
- Availability to commit 15-20 hours per week, including at least one evening shift.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- High attention to detail regarding clinical documentation.
- A commitment to ethical standards and client-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision.
