About the role#
This internship is designed for students interested in a career in software sales. You will support a team of Sales and Business Development Representatives focusing on the nonprofit sector. The program provides training in core sales competencies with the goal of building the skills necessary for a client-facing role. You will work alongside mentors to develop your sales techniques and gain insight into the Salesforce sales process.
What you'll do#
- Vet inbound leads from marketing campaigns, events, and website traffic.
- Generate pipeline through cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement.
- Nurture and qualify partner leads in collaboration with consulting partners.
- Partner with Sales Development Representatives and Sales Executives to drive interest and schedule discovery meetings.
- Identify key contacts within target accounts and develop personalized outreach strategies.
- Track all prospecting activities within Salesforce to ensure accurate data.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or rising Senior graduating in May 2028.
- Pursuing a Bachelor degree with a preferred concentration in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong academic background and performance.
- Prior working experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Superior attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
- Strong interest in a long-term career in software sales.
- Passion for technology and a willingness to learn new domains.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to work in the office 4 days per week.
- Employment: Full time, paid internship.
