About the role#
The Student Media Webmaster manages the official department website and oversees our social media presence. This role is part of the Student Media Leadership Committee and requires a commitment of five office hours per week. You will help maintain our digital presence while gaining experience in web content management and strategy.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain the official department website with new content regularly.
- Conduct website upgrades as needed.
- Upload official PDFs of The Xavierite.
- Monitor the site for content and ensure all materials follow copyright laws.
- Develop and implement a social media strategy for the department.
- Attend general staff meetings and participate in the Student Media Leadership Committee.
- Maintain weekly posted office hours.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Saint Xavier University.
- Federal Work Study eligibility.
- Experience with WordPress and general HTML coding.
- A background in Computer Science is preferred.
- A resume and cover letter included with your application.

- This position is located at 3700 W. 103rd Street, Chicago, Illinois.
- The pay rate is $17.05 per hour.
