About the role#
Join our Global Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability team for a full-time internship during the Summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our headquarters in Rogers Park, Chicago, supporting our environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. This is a paid position.
What you'll do#
- Upload and enter utility data for all S&C locations.
- Assist with data collection, tracking, and reporting for compliance.
- Collect and analyze waste management data to create monthly performance dashboards.
- Research grants and incentives for renewable energy investments.
- Evaluate the pros and cons of different renewable energy sources.
- Update and compare sustainability data against industry standards.
- Analyze how companies report on UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Research and summarize zero waste to landfill programs and circular economy practices.
- Assist with soil sampling and pollinator audits in our native garden.
- Support onsite audits to collect data for environmental compliance.
- Network with team members in production operations.
- Help organize Sustainability Week events, including waste collection and recycling efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university or college degree program.
- A concentration in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Intent to return to school full-time at the end of the internship.
- Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027.
- Comfort working on-site at our Chicago location.
