About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Real Property Tax team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside subject matter experts to identify tax savings for our clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in San Diego.
What you'll do#
- Help multi-state companies navigate tax controversies, including preparing for auditor discussions and drafting protests.
- Represent clients at hearings and appeal meetings.
- Research and write technical memoranda on state and local tax issues.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities.
- Review documentation and perform detailed calculations using raw data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Graduation expected within one year of the internship.
- A minimum GPA of 2.8 in both overall and major coursework.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours, depending on the specific practice area.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver license.
