About the role#
This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Plano, Texas. You will work alongside tax experts to help multi-state companies identify tax savings and manage tax controversies. This role requires a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Help clients prepare for auditor discussions and represent them at hearings or appeal meetings.
- Prepare protests and draft technical memoranda on tax issues.
- Research tax questions and review documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities.
- Process raw data to complete detailed tax calculations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Real Estate.
- You expect to graduate within one year of the internship.
- You have a minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- You have completed at least 6 to 12 accounting hours.
- You possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- You have a valid driver's license.
- You can manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and work well both independently and in a team.
