About the role#
We are looking for interns to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside subject matter experts to identify tax savings opportunities for large-scale clients. This role focuses on state, local, and international taxation within a team-based environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide service to multi-state companies to identify tax savings opportunities.
- Assist clients with state and local tax controversies, including preparing them for auditor discussions.
- Represent clients at hearings and appeal meetings.
- Prepare protests and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Research and draft technical memoranda regarding tax issues.
- Review documentation and perform detailed calculations using raw data.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours, depending on the practice area.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in internet navigation and research.
- A valid driver’s license.
