About the role#
The Project Engineer Intern role supports the project team in the completion of designated projects. You will learn construction industry processes, procedures, and internal business policies while gaining practical experience in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with the completion of assigned projects.
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
- Communicate clearly through both oral and written channels.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.
- Within 18 months of graduation.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for at least a three-month term.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost-control methods.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural or engineering drawings.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
