About the role#
As a Risk Consulting Intern at RSM, you will gain hands-on experience working with businesses across diverse industries. You will be assigned a Performance Advisor to support your professional development throughout the summer. This role involves direct interaction with clients at various management levels, providing you with exposure to internal audits, SOX compliance, and financial reporting control projects.
What you'll do#
- Sit in on client meetings and support the execution of consulting projects.
- Prepare and deliver reports on consulting services.
- Discuss project results and recommendations directly with clients.
- Document findings and recommendations using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Complete client projects efficiently while adhering to project timelines.
- Travel to client locations as requested.
- Attend specific conferences, training sessions, and meetings to support your development.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Science.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to multitask and manage projects effectively.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred but not required.
